Terms of Use

The short version first.

Buying or refinancing a home is a big deal, and we would rather talk it through with you than hand you fine print. Still, a website needs ground rules. Here they are. If anything is unclear, call us and ask.

1. General

These Terms of Use ("Terms") cover your use of this website and your communications with Crystal Clear Mortgage, LLC ("Crystal Clear Mortgage," "we," "us" or "our"). By using the site, sending us an inquiry or otherwise contacting us, you agree to these Terms.

We may update these Terms. The current version is always posted on this page. Using the site after a change is posted means you accept the updated Terms.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into an agreement to use this site or apply for a loan.

2. What we do

Crystal Clear Mortgage is a Texas mortgage company. We help people buy homes, refinance and borrow against the equity in their homes. Loan programs, guidelines and availability are set by lenders and investors and can change at any time. The content on this site is general information about those programs.

3. Not a commitment to lend

Nothing on this website is an offer or commitment to lend, a pre-approval, a loan approval or a rate lock. No loan is approved, and no rate or term is binding, until you receive a written commitment and sign loan documents, with every condition met.

All loans are subject to application, credit review, verification of income and assets, appraisal, title review, insurance and program guidelines. Not every applicant will qualify.

4. No financial, legal or tax advice

The information on this site and in our general communications is not financial, legal, accounting or tax advice. Talk with your own professionals before making a decision about a purchase, a refinance or any loan.

5. Rates, terms and calculators

Any rate, payment or cost figure discussed before a formal application and lock is an estimate for illustration only. Rates and program terms change often and depend on the market, the property and your qualifications.

The calculators on this site use the numbers you type in and general assumptions you can change. Their results are planning estimates, not quotes. The figures that govern any loan are the ones in the Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure the law requires us to give you.

6. Inquiries and applications

Sending a form or contacting us is an inquiry, not a loan application. An application begins only when you give us the information an application requires and ask us to go ahead. Our website forms never ask for a Social Security number or date of birth; when that information is needed, we collect it by phone or through a secure application system.

7. Accuracy of what you send us

Information you give us must be true and complete. Giving false or misleading information in connection with a mortgage application can carry serious legal consequences.

8. Communications

By contacting us, you agree that we may reply by email and, where you gave us a number, by phone, about your inquiry and any loan you pursue. Text messages are covered separately in the Text messaging section and are sent only if you opt in.

9. Text messaging

We text only people who opt in, by checking the text-message box on one of our forms or by asking us in writing. Consent is optional and is not a condition of any loan or service. Messages are about your request or your loan.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or call (936) 447-5626.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out of texts does not affect your loan or your ability to reach us by phone or email. Your mobile number and your consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy.

10. Privacy

How we collect, use and protect personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

11. Security and wire fraud

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of sending data is completely secure. Please don't send a full Social Security number or account number by regular email. Ask us for a secure way to send sensitive documents.

Wire fraud warning. Real estate wire fraud happens, and stolen funds are hard to get back. Always confirm wire or payment instructions by calling a phone number you already know and trust, never one that arrived by email. Treat any last-minute change to wire instructions as suspicious until you have confirmed it by phone.

12. Equal housing and fair lending

Equal Housing Opportunity. We do business in accordance with the Fair Housing Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and we do not discriminate against any applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age (provided the applicant can enter a binding contract), disability, familial status, receipt of public assistance, or the good-faith exercise of rights under the Consumer Credit Protection Act.

13. Licensing

Crystal Clear Mortgage, LLC, Company NMLS: 270528. Each loan officer's NMLS number appears on their profile on the Meet the Team page. Licensing can be checked on the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System's Consumer Access website. The Texas complaint notice appears at the bottom of every page and on the Documents page.

14. Third-party sites and information

Appraisals, credit reports, title work and insurance quotes come from independent third parties. We rely on that information but do not guarantee it. Links on this site to other websites, including online application systems, are offered for convenience; their content and privacy practices are their own.

15. Website content

The Crystal Clear Mortgage name, this website and its content belong to us or are used with permission. You may view and print the content for personal, non-commercial use, as our Legal Disclaimer describes.

16. Limitation of liability

This website is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Crystal Clear Mortgage is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these Terms limits a right you have under the loan documents you sign or under consumer protection law.

17. Disputes and governing law

If a disagreement comes up, please call us first; most things are settled with a conversation. Any dispute terms specific to a loan are in that loan's own documents, which control for disputes under them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, except where federal law or the law of the state where a property is located applies to a particular loan.

18. Everything else

These Terms, together with any disclosures and loan documents you sign, are the entire agreement on their subject. If any part is found invalid, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
